Terms of service

1. Who we are

Pixalingo (pixalingo.com) is a service of Loriam Holding Ltd, Cyprus ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected].

2. What Pixalingo is

Pixalingo helps you learn words of a foreign language with picture cards: a photo, the word, its sound, a short story that links the sound to the meaning, and an example. A review system (a Leitner box) brings words back for practice.

We do our best to make every word, translation and recording correct, but we cannot promise that the content is free of mistakes or that you will reach any particular level.

3. Your account

You can start without an account: your progress is then kept for this device only. If you add your email, verified with a one-time code, you can use the same progress on any device. Keep your email current; anyone with access to it can sign in.

You must be at least 16 years old, or have your parent's or guardian's permission.

4. Free and Premium

Free: the first 50 words of every language, and reviews of every word you have learned, for as long as we offer the service.

Premium: all words in all languages and new decks as we publish them, for as long as your plan is active.

Prices: yearly $29.99 a year with a 7-day free trial for first-time subscribers, or monthly $4.99 a month. Prices are shown in your currency before you pay and include any VAT or sales tax that applies.

Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel any time in the app (Profile, Manage plan); you keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. If you cancel during the free trial, you are not charged.

When a subscription ends, your account goes back to the free plan: you keep your progress, and you can keep reviewing every word you learned.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.

5. Right of withdrawal and refunds

If you live in the EU or the UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Premium is digital content that starts immediately; by starting a paid plan you ask us to begin straight away and you accept that the right of withdrawal ends once Premium is unlocked. A free trial does not use up this right: you can cancel during the trial without paying.

If something went wrong (for example you were charged twice or Premium did not unlock), write to [email protected] and we will put it right or refund you.

6. Invitations

Each account has an invite link. When a friend you invited starts learning (learns their first words), you both get 7 days of Premium. Rewards have no cash value, and we may cancel rewards gained with fake accounts.

7. Acceptable use

Do not copy our cards in bulk, try to break or overload the service, or use it for anything unlawful. The photos, stories and recordings belong to us; you may share single cards with the share buttons for personal, non-commercial use.

8. Changes and ending the service

We may change or stop parts of the service. If we stop Premium while you have an active plan, we refund the unused part of your current period.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus, without taking away the protection given to you by the consumer law of the country where you live. If we change these terms, we will show the new version on this page; the version in force when you paid applies to that payment.
